About me

I have been writing since I was six, starting with a story about Clover the unicorn. I wrote my first book at 14, about a woman pilot trying to join an elite flying club after World War 2.

I have an undergraduate degree in History from the University of Texas at Austin, a master’s degree in Comparative Politics from the University of Glasgow, and a master’s degree in International Energy and Environmental Policy and Economics from The Johns Hopkins University.

I have worked in climate and energy policy for over twenty years, crafting narratives and strategies to advance progress to protect this planet and all its inhabitants and habitats. My education in and love of history has given me the gift of critical thinking and insatiable curiosity.

I have lived in England, Scotland, Italy, Washington, DC, Montana, and Texas. I currently live in the East Bay in California with my daughter and our two rescue cats.
